Science rocks!

Today the Senior Syndicate went to the Science Roadshow at Balmac.
We saw a cool demonstration of how sound works.
It involved fire going up and down depending weather the sound is loud or soft.
This was not meant to happen but the fire started going down and had to keep lighting it.
We also watch lots of ballons popping because of heat and not enough room for the sound waves to
travel to make a loud popping noise.
we all enjoyed watching what types of materials were more flammable. It was interesting to see which ones lit and which ones didn't. I loved watching Mrs Brown and Miss Robbenson getting stuck together with velcro.
The flame reacted to is voice weather it was loud or quiet.
There were lots of things to envestigate and see.
We saw what was a fear test and what not. We also saw what material soaked up the most water.

This is Science!

We made predictions and observations about what would happen when we drew a felt line on a piece of chalk and put it in a glass of water.

Year 5 camp is amazing!!

Hello our names are Bailey and Iziah and this is us at year 5 camp

Year 5 camp was amazing because we got to learn new activities like abseiling, air rifles and archery.
We really enjoyed the nature trail and the orientation walk. morning tea and lunch was great because we had one fancy and one plan and for lunch we had to make our own sandwiches we had mayo lettuce cheese cucumber and beetroot tomato. Iziah went to the confidence course - the tricky part about was the tyres the easiest part was going threw the TUNNEL! that is how much fun is year 5 camp next year 5s are going to have a blast.

We're doing some Science observations and testing our hypothesis. How long will it take for the 'tree' to fall? Which tree will be faster?
